The Deputy Chief of Police primary responsibility is to maintain the department budget and facility. The Deputy Chief works with the Chief of Police in setting department direction and policy along with the Division Commanders/Manger. The Deputy Chief oversees the Internal Affairs Section and reviews the investigations prior to being submitted to the Chief of Police. The Deputy Chief fills in for the Chief of Police in his absence.
