The Traffic Section consists of three motor officers and a traffic accident investigator under the direction of a sergeant. The motor officers conduct the majority of the proactive traffic enforcement efforts throughout the City and respond to traffic complaint areas. The traffic accident investigator and motor officers also investigate a majority of the traffic accidents. The Traffic Section Sergeant also coordinates the Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) that investigates those collisions involving significant injury or death.
